GMACC  STATEMENT OF FAITH AND BELIEF

Christian Faith and doctrine are based upon the Holy Bible which is the Word of God. Our faith is in the only one true living God through Christ our Lord and we believe in His Word as contained in the Holy Scriptures. Accordingly, the basis of our faith and belief are incorporated in this statement and in the broad summary of the Christian Doctrines and Belief presented herein:

We believe in:

1. God the Father, Christ Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit [Eph. 4:6;  Isa. 9:6-7;  34:16;  Mark 12:29]

2. Jesus Christ as the Son of God, the Saviour and Redeemer of  mankind and in Him all the fullness of the Deity is found. [John 16:17; Col. 2:9;  Heb. 1:2-13]

3. Submission to the leadership and authority and power of the Holy Spirit. [John 16:13-14; Zech. 4:6; 2 Cor. 2:7-11]

4. The Holy Scripture contained in the Holy Bible as the living and unfailing Word of God [2 Tim. 3:15-17; John 5:39]

5. The universal church of God over which Jesus Christ is the head and

6.  He is also the foundation. [Mat. 16:18; Acts 20:28; Eph. 2:20; 5:22-23; Col. 1:24; 1  Cor. 3:11; 11:3]

7. The Second Coming of our Lord Jesus and that the Father has given

8.  Him the authority to judge the living and the dead. [Acts 1:9-11; Mat. 24:25-31, 38:42]

9.  Upholding Christian doctrines and faith established in the Holy Scriptures and centred around the Teaching of our Lord Jesus Christ as spelt out in the broad summary of Christian Doctrines and Belief given in our Handbook. [John 7:16-18; 1 Tim. 4:13; 2 Tim. 3:16; Tit. 1:9; 2:1; Mat. 7:28; 2 John 9:11]
